Queen Margaret Academy: Launch of the Nature Nurtures Project

On Friday 6th September 2024, DYW Ayrshire Ambassador Walter Smith MBE, along with Chair Mike Stewart, visited Queen Margaret Academy for the launch of their Innovative Project, Nature Nurtures.

This rural skills initiative expands on the school’s already impressive range of projects that equip young people with both sector-specific and transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving and leadership.

At the launch of the Nature Nurtures project, the school showcased a range of their innovative educational programmes. Guests received a trou whilst engaging directly with pupils to learn about the positive impact and future plans of the project.
