“We are a local Ford car dealership based in Kilbirnie, and we rely on our local customers for service & MOT work, as well as new and used car sales. Most of our staff live locally, and some of them have worked for the dealership for most of their working lives! Given our local knowledge we are pleased to be able to support Garnock Academy, in conjunction with the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, in offering a work experience placement to a local pupil of the Academy.

We hope that the benefits that any placement candidate will get from this are an understanding of the importance of timekeeping, taking instruction and seeing a job through to the finish. We would also hope that they will gain an understanding of engaging with work colleagues so that they are comfortable in seeking help or advice when they need it.”
