Work Experience with Bridgend Motor Group

In September 2024, Bridgend Motor Group welcomed a pupil from Kilwinning Academy on a week-long work placement. 

Alison Mitchell, HR/Payroll Manager, said: “It’s been great to have April doing her school work placement with us this week in the Bridgend Motor Group Kilwinning Car Sales Department.” 

“April is in 4th year at Garnock Community Campus and is interested in sales as a career. She applied directly to us as Bridgend was somewhere that appealed to her. April has spent her week in the sales department shadowing the sales team sitting in with customers and learning the sales process from start to finish.” 

April told staff: “It’s been good, different from what I imagined – much better in fact. I’ve got on well with everyone and think I’d like to go into car sales in the future. The staff are very nice. The best bit of the week was being part of the team.”
