Robertson Construction Women in Construction Event

“Robertson Construction Central West in conjunction with Ayrshire College, Kilwinning Campus hosted a Women in Construction event to mark International Women’s Day and the end of Scottish Apprenticeship Week in 2024. The event had 9 speakers who were all women who worked for Robertson Construction or women who worked for other businesses who were part of the Robertson Montgomerie Park Primary School project.  

Each woman presented a timeline of their careers from leaving school to where they are now highlighting the different journey each took to get there and also highlighting the different job roles within the construction industry. This covered roles such as Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Design Management, Social Impact and Administration. This was presented to a group of women who were signposted through DYW, DWP, CEIS and the College.” Kelly Harkness, Robertson Construction
