On Friday 20th June 2025, pupils and staff at Lockhart Campus proudly hosted the launch of two new Innovative DYW Projects: Campus Creations and LCDS (Lockhart Campus Domestic Service).

The event marked a significant milestone, with the school now offering an impressive 12 DYW streams, designed to support pupils in their learning, skills development and future career pathways.

Staff gave speeches on the history of the projects and their positive impact on their pupils, before a tour of the school and the ribbon cutting. Pupils then performed songs from the musical, The Greatest Showman.

A special thank you goes to Storm Aviation, who generously funded the concrete base for shop and guests Norman Burt (joiner), Craig Bigham, Tyler Payne and Matthew McLean, who volunteered their time assisting in the built of Campus Creations to clear the ground, measure the site, and help construct the new shop – a key feature of one of the DYW streams.

Attendees had the opportunity to explore each project, with the new Campus Creations initiative raising £400 in just two hours. All funds raised are reinvested into the school, helping to make these projects sustainable.
