Elizabeth’s Work Placement at Ayrshire Chamber

Our host organisation welcomed Elizabeth, a school pupil from Kilwinning Academy, on work experience to give her the opportunity to learn all about the business. Her particular interests were finance and marketing so Elizbeth was tasked to create social media posts, create a TikTok and upload stories to our website. She further spent time with the Chamber’s Finance Officer, learning all about the job and running some reports.

In her own words, Elizabeth wrote:

“Hi, I’m Elizabeth. I’ve been at one week work placement with Ayrshire Chamber. I had an experience in areas such as marketing and membership networking. I’ve been to Tourism & Travel event with one of the members of Chamber, there I practiced my communication skills and got educated on how our government looks at an issue of tourism in Scotland. Also, I’ve learnt how to schedule social media posts and how to manage website of the business. It was a week full of experience, and I had a chance to look at the business from the inside. Thank you!”
